Shukubo Renjo-ji is an old Japanese-style house behind a Buddhist temple located end of Nara-machi called Kidera-cho.
It strongly retains the atmosphere and charm of the Showa era.
We do not have a TV set in the house. We cannot offer you luxurious hospitality like in a big hotel, but please relax and enjoy your time in a corner of a historical temple. We would be happy if you could spend a different time than usual.
There is an original kitchen cabinet and small desks with traditional taste, and please enjoy using these traditional Japanese materials.
Although it has been renovated, it is an old house, so there are small gaps and cracks, some fittings may creak, but we hope you can enjoy it’s special taste.
In addition, because it is an old house and there is a garden next to this, small insects may sometimes come in. We are doing our best to avoid it, but please excuse us if there would come some small guests inside of this accommodation.

●Part of the accommodation fee will be donated to the temple.
●Shampoo, conditioner and body soap are always available in the bathroom.
●You can cook your own meals in the kitchen, but please be careful when handling gas.
Regarding the use of gas, we might ask you for use.
●The curfew is 9:00 pm. Thank you for your understanding.
●Children can stay, but please be careful with fragile fittings at your own risk.
●There is a large trampoline in the garden. You can use it, but please be careful not to get hurt. (Use at your own risk)
◆Regarding cleaning the room: As a general rule, unless otherwise requested, we require a minimum of 3 nights for an extra cleaning.
But please feel free to let us know if you would like us to collect your garbage and change towels and sheets for 2 nights.
This is just because of we want our guests to be able to spend their time at our place Shukubo /Temple Stay without any hesitation.
